An interdisciplinary collaboration between NC State's Department of Entomology & Plant Pathology and the College of Design. The Virtual Apiary Tool for Hands-On Online Beekeeping Education introduces a unique application of virtual and augmented reality to the fields of agriculture and life sciences. The Virtual Apiary pioneered hands-on learning through VR in the beekeeping field, enabling users to practice the basics of honey bee hive management and complete honey bee biology modules led by NCSU Apiculture Professor Dr. David Tarpy.
